Hi! I’m Pat and I like to read books!

Well, it’s a bit more complicated than that.

Growing up, I was a major reader. I read nonstop. I had backpacks full of books that I would take with me whenever I went anywhere. I would walk around my neighborhood with my face buried in books, resulting in a lot of scraped knees and repetitive lectures. I loved books more than I loved anything in the world.

Now, as a (young) adult, I can barely finish a book. I struggle to focus. I can’t read a page without feeling restless.

This blog is my attempt at reconciliation. My fervent Hail-Mary to the former love of my life. I want to read again so I’m starting this blog to hold myself accountable. I loved books once, and I’m determined to fall in love once more.

Also, I have shitty opinions and I am so excited to share them!
